Our original festival mascot was “Sammy the Sturgeon” chosen because there are sturgeon living in the Merrimack River in the environs of the Bassiliere Bridge. A hiatus in 2012 due to the rolling out of the Essex Street Gateway Mural that spring, and another in 2020 due to the CovID-19 Pandemic. Team Haverhill’s River Ruckus was an immediate success and has grown in numbers of guests, volunteers, sponsors and participants every year. A team of dedicated Team Haverhill volunteers pulled together the first event in August, 2010. River Ruckus was born at Possible Dreams in January of 2010 as a “dream” of bringing the community together for a day of family fun along the Riverwalk and the Riverfront Cultural District to boost the local economy and to boast about what Haverhill has to offer. No one lingered after they left, everyone got back in their car and went home or somewhere else. Got an appointment next day no problem (actually got 2 appointments by accident). Online ordering was easy once I figured out you cant put an order in when they are closed (like a restaurant), after that easy. I was back in my car about 120 seconds after getting out of it. Went in, checked my ID, grabbed my order, paid and out.
Wow do they have have their s*$+ together! Couldnt find the door because there was no line, but then noticed the security dude. I advise all of you to do the same, dont go to the ghetto and expect a pleasant experience, you wont have one.
I will recommend friends of mine visit a different dispensary. With the outlandish price gouging taking place I expect to be treated with respect.
Needless to say, I had an awful experience and I will not be back. The security guard looked puzzled, I dont blame him considering the employees at Stem have a joint IQ of 90, pun intended. I replied Thats a strange procedure considering were in the midst of a global pandemic. I replied Since when do you require customers to remove their masks? His response Ugh.They have us do that now. He looked at my license, then asked me to remove my mask, apparently he needed to take a closer look.
When at the door I handed the security guard my drivers license. During the entirety of this pandemic I have not once been asked to remove my mask, that changed today. However, today on 4/3/21, I had a terrible experience.
